The Great Yorkshire Show, a beloved annual event, is set to dazzle visitors with its fashion extravaganza in 2026. This year's show promises to be a spectacle of style, showcasing a diverse range of designs and a stellar lineup of guests. As the music thumps and models strut their stuff, the fashion show will undoubtedly be a highlight for seasoned attendees.
Organised by Bernadette Gledhill, the event has evolved into a major attraction since its inception in 1997. Gledhill's connections with designers, retailers, and industry professionals have transformed the catwalk into a platform for showcasing Yorkshire's fashion prowess. The show's aim is to bridge the gap between fashion and farming, fostering a unique synergy.
The 2026 edition will feature a star-studded lineup of guests, including Kelvin Fletcher and his wife, Liz from Fletchers Family Farm, Peter Wright from The Yorkshire Vet, Jules Hudson from Escape to the Country, and Harriet Cowan from Clarkson's Farm. These celebrity appearances will undoubtedly add to the excitement and glamour of the event.
The catwalk will showcase a diverse range of brands, each bringing their unique style and expertise. One of the featured brands is Ariat, a countrywear and workwear specialist known for its western-style footwear and clothing. Ariat's European marketing manager, Melanie Selman, highlights the brand's commitment to showcasing its work, country, and western collections, providing an incredible platform for its footwear and apparel.
TOG24, a Heckmondwike-based outdoor and lifestyle clothing brand, will also return to the show. With a focus on elevated everyday wear, TOG24's clothing is designed to be functional and stylish, catering to various lifestyles. Simon Ward, marketing co-ordinator, emphasises the brand's Yorkshire roots and its commitment to quality and durability.
Manteaux, a British womenswear brand, will showcase its traditional tailored coats and jackets, crafted using heritage fabrics from Abraham Moon & Sons and Harris Tweed. Maude and Fox, another British brand, will introduce contemporary designs inspired by traditional tweed, featuring hoodies, gilets, and jackets with unique twists.
Queen of Cashmere will present a versatile collection designed for the modern midlife woman, combining comfort and sophistication with luxurious natural fabrics. Jennifer Gay's alpaca knitwear range, a staple at the show for 30 years, will offer lightweight, durable, and machine-washable designs in a wide range of colours.
The British Wool section will showcase Glencroft's Clapdale Wool project, a fully traceable initiative featuring knits and designs made from wool produced within a five-mile radius. CLÒ FOLD, a British clothing brand dedicated to using traceable British wool, will also be in attendance, blending heritage craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic.
As the show's director, Rachel Coates emphasises the Yorkshire heritage of the materials used, such as wool and tweed, adding a layer of cultural significance to the fashion extravaganza. The Great Yorkshire Show 2026 promises to be a celebration of fashion, heritage, and community, attracting around 140,000 visitors over four days.
Tickets are available for purchase, with prices varying depending on age and membership status. The event will take place from July 14 to 17, with shows at 11 am and 2 pm daily.
